Ég er frá Ameríku, d'accord?

Documenting the experiences of a young, English/French-speaking American studying Anthropology in the ethereal country of Iceland.

J’avais oublié l’existence de Tumblr.

Désolée.

Bon, alors…

Hello, folks! :) <— This clearly implies that I am a nice and friendly person, in case you were wondering.

As you may or may not have noticed, I am still in America. As a result of certain (aggravating) circumstances regarding student visas and other unavoidably incomplete paperwork (malarkey), I deferred my admission to Háskóli Íslands (University of Iceland) until January. Though somewhat depressing, there are, of course, good things that come from being here for another semester.

Moving on to a completely different subject, I’d like to share a couple of things that I have learned recently:

1. I don’t blog a lot because I don’t enjoy complaining. I’ve noticed that the biggest bloggers are generally very put-off by something. Unfortunately, rather than being irritated by things that actually matter to the rest of the world and to the existence of mankind, these blogoholics complain about their oh-so-tragic lovelives or the fact that they simply can’t seem to find love. There are other things, but, as is kind of the point, they’re not worth mentioning. I really do hope the best for the poor souls, though. You guys deserve love just as much as anyone else, YOU KNOW?!

Actually, I’ll just stick with that one thing. This is a horrible post. I’ll come up with something better at some point. For now, enjoy this (it’s moderately funny…and also off-centered):

Pretty good.
